Somerset Design Week - The Business and Education Design Week for the South West

9th - 23rd September 2006

Somerset Design Weeks coincide with Somerset Art Weeks thus promoting Somerset as a leading centre for innovation and
creative practice.

Designers and members of the Somerset Design Enterprise Network throughout the county will be working together to raise the profile of Somerset design excellence through a series of events. These will include the display of design icons in Taunton Town Centre, illustrating the richness and diversity of our designers. This show will provide a back drop to a range of national and international design-based symposiums promoting Somerset as a centre of excellence within the Creative Industries. These events will be coordinated by the Somerset Design Enterprise Network, which links design practice with industry and education.

The benefits to Somerset will be an increased awareness of the County's creative resources and ongoing promotion of this region as a hot spot for new venture, enterprise and investment.
