The Somerset Design Enterprise Network's purpose is to
bring the design industry and education together to
establish a core design sector based organisation so
businesses from within and outside the county can use
us a doorway to design and companies who provide
design services.
Another important part of the network is to establish
Somerset as a place for design excellence. And as we
want to take this to market on a county, regional and
national level you could say that its similar to creating a
product. And our members will be able to influence how
this is portrayed and directed.
But the ultimate business benefit would be financial return
and even though this can not be guaranteed it cannot be
ruled out. There will be networking, marketing, and
promotional opportunities, which will lead to economic
benefits. We have support from South West RDA, Inspire
South West, European Union, Business Link Somerset, and
the private sector, which means we are here to stay and
will be the core organisation for design in Somerset. This
